Indiegrrl works to create networking, educational, and showcasing opportunities for women. We are a nonprofit that supports women in the arts regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or political views and does not tolerate discrimination in any form. Indiegrrl has a focus on creating festivals and community involved events.  We produce a yearly International Music & Arts Conference & Festival for educational, networking and showcasing opportunities.  This event is open to anyone to attend both female and male.  All stage performance slots must be female fronted.  We work to build regional workshops, panel discussions from industry professionals, and networking events to aid in skills and entrepreneurial development.  We welcome involvement of singer songwriters and musicians with all genres of music, spoken word and poets, story tellers, comedy, visual arts, film, music production, radio, dance and more.  We also produce a yearly songwriting contest and a yearly compilation CD project that is used for promotional and fundraising purposes. We partner with various community groups and charitable organizations to produce events supporting and showcasing women and to bring more awareness to local women artisans and to donate to various charitable causes that include cancer fundraisers, Citizens Against Family Violence, Boys and Girls Club and more. If you would like to get involved we take open submissions for all of our events, contests, and compilation CD projects.  If you would like to become a sponsor of our organization or make charitable donations to support what we are trying to create for women please visit our contact page and write us. If you would like to partner and produce a community involved event in your area please visit our contact page and write us.

Indiegrrl Women in the Arts, Inc is in the beginning stages of development for an educational facility for music and the arts.  This facility will house songwriting retreats, music development classes, and art based programs as well as technology based music and arts programs with music production and graphic design and film.  We are developing music camps for children ages 7 to 18.  Please contribute to our nonprofit so this new phase of education can become a reality in the next couple of years.

Indiegrrl has created our brand new retail store opportunity where women involved in the arts can sell their music, DVDs, books, art, etc.  We DO NOT take out a percentage of your sales.  You pay a flat yearly fee to have your items listed on your own page with online payment options that go directly to your PayPal bank account and you are responsible for shipping your merchandise and all customer relations with them.  We offer you the artist a highly visible online site as a joint store front among your women artisans, authors and musician/singer/songwriters for people to see/hear your product.

Our Indiegrrl News Media outlet is linked with over 40 music industry related networks.  You can stay up to date on reading the news and you can submit your news through our format.  We partnered with Mi2n (Music Industry New Network) to make this possible.

If you like what our nonprofit is about, please send us an email and get involved. Submissions are open on all of our events.  Visit the Festival Page to stay up to date with those showcasing opportunities and plan to attend some fun events.  Submit songs for the yearly songwriting contest to win some great prize packages and submit songs to our yearly compilation CD project which gets mailed out to media outlets and used for promotional purposes for our many events.  This exposure is invaluable.  Have any suggestions on what we can do to help bring awareness to women in music and the arts drop us a line and share your thoughts.  We are always looking at ways to develop opportunities that fit the needs of women in music and the arts.
