2007 Indie Music for Life Compilation CDEach year Indie Music For Life produces an annual compilation CD to raise money for cancer research and for educational music therapy programs for pediatric cancer patients. At this time we are accepting submissions on songs to be considered for the 2007 compilation CD project. This year Indie Music For Life partnered up with Sonicbids for our submission process. You can click on this banner ad link to submit a song. The 2007 Indie Music for Life compilation will be played and sold at events throughout the year, as well as online at various websites. Additionally, the CD will be sent to radio stations, magazines, etc for review. This project is a follow up of our 2004, 2005 & 2006 fund raising compilation CD projects. If your song is chosen to be on the CD you will not get any cash compensation. Your compensation is exposure and the feeling you get when helping out a great cause. All genres of music are accepted. No profanity or adult content in songs please. Our committee will review all songs submitted and our decision will be made final by March 2007. Indiegrrl was founded by Holly Figueroa in 1998 as a forum for women in the independent music industry. Holly remains in the organization as an advisor and as an "Honorary Performing Member". Indiegrrl is now a 1500 member organization, its most vibrant membership being the Indiegrrl Mailing List. Indiegrrl is committed to bringing on new members and new sponsors for the growth of this organization. As of December 1, 2005 Vicki Blankenship has come on board as the new CEO for Indiegrrl. Her committment to this organization working with Holly and setting up & promoting Indiegrrl Showcases for the last three years and touring full time gives her the understanding what our Performing Members need. Her business experience as Owner and Operations Director of Spotted Kiva Productions and Founder/President of Indie Music For Life non profit organization makes her a great choice to help take this organization to the next level of development. To help support and develop younger girls in
the Independent music arena, Indiegrrl announces the new Junior/Teen
Division for girls ages 10 to 17. Many of the existing adult Indiegrrl
Members will take on a mentoring role with these junior members in hopes
of developing women singer songwriters and musicians for the future. Visit the Indiegrrl Gallery
