Independent Women in the Arts! As a prelude to the Nashville Conference
coming up Aug. 20-23 at the Hotel Preston, (http://www.indiegrrl.com), join other Indiegrrl artists, creatives, innovators, musicians & entrepreneurs in a relaxed evening of networking, music, art and conversation. Indiegrrl works to create networking, educational, and showcasing opportunities for women. We are an international members organization that supports women in the arts regardless of race, religion, or sexuality. Indiegrrl welcomes, with open arms, songwriters and musicians with all genres of music, spoken word and poets, story tellers, comedy, visual arts, film, music production, radio, dance and more. Indiegrrl is working hard to produce various events including an annual conference, community festivals, individual showcases, contests and more for our members to get involved with and is working to build a community of women to support each other in their artistic careers. We partner with various community groups & charitable organizations to produce events supporting and showcasing women and to bring more awareness to local women artisans & to donate to various charitable causes.

Indiegrrl Women in the Arts supports and showcases all Independent
Women in the Arts regardless of race, religion, or sexual
orientation. We will be showcasing some of the best women in the independent music industry at
our 2009 Conference located in Nashville, TN at the beautiful Hotel
Preston. Women and men are welcome to attend the conference. Showcasing artists must identify as female and bands/duos/groups must be female fronted.

The 2009 Indiegrrl Women in the Arts Conference will provide an excellent opportunity for all artists, booking agencies, venues, industry professionals, businesses supporting the arts, and independent record labels to gather together, network, showcase,
exhibit and conduct business. The 2009 Indiegrrl Women in the Arts Conference will feature a dinner buffet banquet on Thursday night with an keynote guest speakers Karen E. Reynolds and David Llewellyn. The President of Indiegrrl, Vicki Blankenship will also address the attendees and will recognize the
newly inducted Indiegrrl Honorary members Gilli Moon & Vicki Genfan. The event celebrates "Women in the Arts" and emerging talent with 3 days/nights of showcases on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from selected original acts and artists. Industry professionals attend as panelists, speakers, mentors, exhibitors and talent scouts to
network, do business and share their experience with the registrants. Over 140 showcase opportunities are available. The conference will feature 2 days of panels, clinics, workshops, mentoring & demo listening sessions, song pitch sessions to industry professional for song placement and the vendor exhibit hall trade show on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday morning at 8:00am attendees will gather for breakfast in the hotel restaurant
to network one last time and say their farewells until 2010.
